Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy forms part of the Terms of Service and applies to every person who uses a Simplify Online account.

2. Lawful use

You must not use Simplify to commit, facilitate or promote unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive or abusive activity, or to create, upload, send or store material where doing so infringes another person’s rights or breaches applicable law.

3. Security

You must not:

• attempt to gain access to another customer’s account, data or systems without authority;
• probe, scan, bypass or defeat security controls except under an expressly authorised security-testing arrangement;
• introduce malware, malicious code or harmful content;
• carry out denial-of-service activity or deliberately overload the service;
• use stolen, shared or improperly obtained credentials; or
• interfere with logging, authentication, permissions or other security mechanisms.

4. Communications and content

You are responsible for information and messages sent through your account. You must not use Simplify to send spam, unlawful marketing, threats, harassment, malicious content or communications that falsely claim to come from another person or organisation.

5. Data and access

You may access and use only information that you are authorised to access. You must not scrape, harvest, export or systematically extract restricted data in a way that breaches another person’s rights, another customer’s confidentiality or the intended operation of the service.

6. Account responsibility

The business account owner is responsible for managing authorised users and permissions and for removing access when it is no longer required. Users must take reasonable steps to keep passwords and authentication methods secure.

7. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected misuse and may block activity, remove harmful content or restrict/suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, data, the service or third parties, or to comply with law. Serious or unlawful misuse may be reported to the appropriate authorities where legally justified.
