Cookie Policy
How Simplify Online uses cookies and similar storage and access technologies.
1. What this policy covers
This policy explains how Simplify Online uses cookies and similar technologies that store information on, or access information from, a user’s browser or device. These can include cookies, local storage, scripts, tags and similar technologies.
2. Essential technologies
Some technologies are required for Simplify to work securely and provide functions requested by the user. These may include:
- session and authentication cookies;
- security and fraud-prevention controls;
- CSRF/security tokens;
- trusted-device or login-protection information;
- load-balancing or infrastructure technologies where required; and
- the record needed to remember your cookie preferences.
Where the law permits these technologies to be used without consent because they are strictly necessary or otherwise exempt, they remain enabled.
3. Simplify analytics
Simplify is developing its own analytics to understand use of the website and application. Analytics may measure matters such as screen/page use, feature adoption, sessions, errors and general usage patterns.
Where analytics requires access to or storage of information on your device and no exemption applies, it will remain off until you allow analytics through Cookie Settings. Operational server logs, security records and account activity that do not depend on optional browser storage are handled separately under our Privacy Notice.
4. Marketing and advertising technologies
Marketing or advertising tracking technologies are optional and are off unless the required permission has been given. We will review this policy and the consent implementation before activating any third-party advertising pixel, conversion tag or comparable tracking technology.
5. Current preference categories
| Category | Default | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Always on | Login, security, core service operation and remembering cookie preferences. |
| Analytics | Off until allowed where consent is required | Optional measurement of website/product usage and improvement. |
| Marketing | Off until allowed | Optional campaign measurement, advertising and marketing technology. |
6. Your choices
The cookie banner gives you the option to accept optional technologies, reject non-essential technologies or manage categories individually. Rejecting optional technologies does not prevent the essential parts of Simplify from working.
You can reopen Cookie Settings at any time using the link in the site footer. A changed preference controls future optional use. You may also remove stored cookies or site data through your browser settings.
7. Consent records
When you make a choice, Simplify records the selected categories, policy version, time of the choice and a random receipt identifier so we can remember and demonstrate the preference. The current Simplify consent implementation is designed not to add an IP address or browser fingerprint to that consent receipt.
8. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when the technologies used by Simplify materially change. If a change requires a new consent choice, we may ask you to review your preferences again.
